I recently had the pleasure of working with Verity (Somerset Dog Trainer), with our current puppy in her group puppy classes and also with addressing behavioural problems with a previous dog, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Verity has an amazing understanding of dog behaviour, but also a clear passion for helping dogs and their owners build a strong bond. The puppy classes were a perfect mix of structured learning and fun, teaching foundational commands while keeping the pups engaged and happy. Verity is a brilliant and very skilled dog trainer. My mother's in law's dogs struggled with constant barking on the lead and reacting with other dogs on walks. Verity showed us simple and effective techniques to practise with both dogs and they have improved so much. Thank you!

Our dog used to be very aggressive towards other dogs. We couldn't even see a dog in the distance without our dog going into a frenzy. We went for a walk with Jen, and our dog behaved better than ever before. He knew tricks that nobody had taught him... luckily, Jen believed us, even though she didn't see our dog's full potential 😀 She gave us a few simple tips that we've been following, and the difference is enormous. Today, for the first time, we walked past a dog on the other side of the street without any sign of nervousness or aggression from our dog. Most importantly, our dog chooses this behavior on his own. His attention is not diverted, nor is he forced into it. Our quality of life has significantly improved! And Jen is a true professional.

After just one session with Vey I couldn't believe how much we learnt. Our dog is quite reactive to other dogs and we needed expert advice. We thought we were training her however all we were doing was dragging her away from other dogs or trying to avoid them at all costs. Since our first session our walks are certainly more enjoyable as we are equipped with the skills and tools we needed. Since then we had a couple of questions just to check we were using the tools correctly and Vey was happy to answer these and put our mind at ease. Our dog training journey is certainly not over and we have already arranged another session with Vey to help our dog further.

We had a great consultation with Vey and put our minds at rest after the meeting. Our dog is a rescue and as well as being nervous can also be reactive to other dogs. With explaining basically signals to pick up on and some techniques whilst out walking were now confident not only about walking out and about but for future training and long term social skills. Vey's knowledge and friendly approach is just what we needed to make us at ease and highly recommend her to anyone at any stage of their dogs relationship.
